Junior, Mallory Sherrill scored a double-double. As well as Junior, Jordan Ellis, who also scored a double-double, as the Statesville Christian Lady Lions remained unbeaten Friday night (17-0) with a resounding 74-39 win over the Lady Falcons of United Faith Christian Academy in a SPAA Conference game. .

Sherrill scored 22 points and grabbed 19 rebounds for the Lady Lions, who dominated the boards and in transition. They owned a 51-32 rebounding advantage, and also repeatedly beat United Faith down the court on fastbreaks to score.

Ellis added 12 points and 12 rebounds, and she also dished out six assists.
Senior, Jordan Peters and Junior, Anna Blue Bentley contributed 16 points each for The Lady Lions.

The Lady Lions are now a “Program’s Best Ever” 17-0 overall for the season, and 3-0 in the SPAA Conference. They will play again on Saturday afternoon, when they will host NCISAA 1A rival The Burlington School in a game that will undoubtedly have State Playoff imprecations come February. Game time is at 3:30 pm.
