Joshua Cronce – son of Mark and Melody Cronce

Sports – Basketball, Soccer, Baseball & Football

Joshua played basketball as a freshman, soccer as a sophomore, baseball his first three years and football as a junior and senior at SCS.  His favorite Bible verse is Joshua 1:9, which says, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”  Joshua’s home church is South River Baptist Church.  He is an active member/leader in the Youth group.  He also plays drums for the praise and worship team and frequently goes on mission trips to the less fortunate parts of the United States.

Joshua has been a member of the Headmaster’s Honor Roll, NJHS, NHS, Beta Club and a Junior Marshall.  He also won the Iron Man Award as a junior.

He will be attending Liberty University in the Fall and hopes to walk onto their football team.  He plans to get his PhD in Nursing.

Joshua’s advice to young athletes is: “Don’t procrastinate, put everything you have into what you are doing until you have met your goal.  Dream big, and go make your dreams a reality.”

Joshua’s hero is Joshua (from the Bible).  “His dedication to God’s plan and the leadership he displayed when leading the Israelites through Jericho is a perfect example of how I strive to act in my everyday life and on the field/court.”

Football Coach Angelo Cox on Joshua: “I have developed the most respect for Joshua Cronce because of his undeniable quiet strength!”
