Multiple Teams · SC Baseball Wins 18th Behind Jacobs No Hitter

Charlie Jacobs had faced the minimum and had a perfect game going into the last inning when an infield miscue ended perfection but Charlie had no complaints as the defense behind him was excellent all game. Brushing aside the error Charlie finished the no hitter with 4 strike outs and no walks giving the Lions their second no no of the season and their 18th win against 6 losses.  Charlie spotted his fastball and kept the Fire of Christian Family off balance all night with his knuckleball.

The Lions in their first game without injured captain BJ Lomax scored 13 runs on 15 hits including 5 doubles. Brian Godwin, Charlie Jacobs, and Josh Cronce each had 3 hits and a double followed by Ben Oliver with 2 hits and a double. Tyler Laws added the last double as the good guys cruised to an easy win.

The Humbabies finish the regular season with a game on Thursday at Carolina International and Friday at Davidson Day before the SPAA tournament next week.
